Le Val André-Dahouet

The seaside resort of Val André became popular with the opening of the first hotels, boarding houses, casino and tennis courts. From its heyday, Val André has retained a vast protected promenade running the length of the beach, with sumptuous seafront villas.The port at Piégu provides a seasonal boat landing with 120 moorings and parking for dinghies.

The port de Dahouët was from the 15th century, cod fishing expeditions to Newfoundland and Iceland shaped the present day appearance of the Terre Neuvas dock by bringing wealth and prosperity to the ship-owners, who built their houses here.
